Raptors Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
RaptorsThe Toronto Raptors are a Canadian professional basketball team based in Toronto. The Raptors compete in the National Basketball Association NBA as a member of the league's Eastern Conference Atlantic Division. They play their home games at the Scotiabank Arena, which they share with the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League NHL. The team was founded in 1995 as part of the NBA's expansion into Canada, along with the Vancouver Grizzlies. Since the 2001–02 season, the Raptors have been the only Canadian-based team in the league, as the Grizzlies relocated from Vancouver to Memphis, Tennessee.
An angry fan of the TORONTO RAPTORS called Donna B. from Sydney, Australia shared her bad experience at The Air Canada Centre in a review posted by YELP: “Should be enjoying the Raptors currently winning 62-47, at half time, over the Hawks, from seats across from the coaches. However, we had a TERRIBLE experience entering the Air Canada Centre this evening. I have been carrying a backpack, for my purse, since arriving in Toronto while on a trip from Sydney, Australia. I had no problem carrying my backpack when I came into the ACC two days ago, to watch the Marlies. Moreover, I should have thought that the huge handbags, carried by many of the other ladies entering the Centre, pose more of a risk -- should the center ever have to be evacuated. I know that the Sydney Opera House maintains a strict policy about the size of bags entering the venue, because of their concerns about people tripping over them in the event of an evacuation. When passing through security today, however, I was told that backpacks are not allowed. The security supervisor didn't know if this was an NBA or an ACC rule. After explaining that I carry my meds in my bag, I offered to put the backpack into a reusable shopping bag that I always carry with me on trips. The security supervisor said that this solution would not be acceptable and that I, and my family, would need to exit the stadium and take my backpack to gate 1 and/or I could leave my kids, unattended, inside the entrance we had just come in and taken the backpack myself. NB: I had never seen any mention of ACC's backpack policy when I bought my tickets. Nor are there any apparent signs at the entrances, before tickets are scanned. However, I have heard numerous announcements saying they pass outs at no longer allowed from the ACC. So, had I gone out, as instructed by the security supervisor, I would not have been allowed back in. In the end, I dumped all my belongings into my shopping bag and threw out the backpack. I will now need to purchase a new backpack for the rest of our trip. I haven't looked, but I wouldn't be surprised if backpacks are sold in the Raptors' souvenir kiosks. I can see that Raptors backpacks are sold in the Raptors' online store. So, be forewarned, the ACC staff who work at the Raptors games are officious and unhelpful. If like me, you decide to treat your family to tickets that cost $100's each, rather than watching a Raptors game on tv, I hope they have a more enjoyable experience than us"
